Tok Like a Boss Bootcamp

I have previously had a hot and cold relationship with social media. I used to take long breaks and have completely wiped all of my content several times. As a neurodivergent woman, I can sometimes be very overwhelmed with it, I am now more vigilant with what I consume and not the "do not disturb", "mute" and "block" buttons are my besties. MH comes first.

I promised myself after returning from my last hiatus, I would not wipe my content again and made a vow to create art and document the process. As something I can look back on and be proud of, which was not the way I was previously using my socials. My mind was scattered and it is one of the main reasons I have still not shared or distributed any of my music online, at all. This is going to change.

One of the things I really wanted to pursue was live video, I love the free flow and interactive nature of live video. I want to improve my skills in this area and grow a community of artists via going live on different platforms, this is my main goal for 2026. I came across Boss It Live in February, where I joined the Live in 5 Challenge. I took so much away from those 5 days of learning how to optimise live video for business.

From day 1 of watching Janine's lives, I knew this woman has something I need. I watched her organised and strategic approach and liked how she presented herself. After completing her Live in 5 challenge, I joined the Tok Like a Boss Bootcamp, which was the best investment in myself and my brand I have made this year. Here are some of the things I have gained so far:

  • I narrowed down my niche - I now have clarity on the services I want to provide. I'm shaping my website and products as I learn from the bootcamp
  • I have a vision of the kind of community I aspire to build
  • I am gaining confidence and speaking with authority on my area of expertise, vocal production and music
  • I have rebranded and optimised my profile, seriously considering what I can offer people and who I can help
  • I've met some incredible, encouraging, inspiring friends who really want to see me win and support me on my journey
  • I have a clear idea of the unique kind of content I am capable of creating, and the positive impact I can put out into the world of social media
  • I finally have a tangible plan

I'm only 3 weeks into the 6 week bootcamp. Not only is it helping me rethink my brand, it is helping me build the confidence to eventually release my music into the world.

Boss It Live is where Janine goes live frequently and posts content on how to improve your live strategy as a business owner.
